We try to make advertising easy, fun, painless, and most of all, affordable. I wish I could afford to advertise more, but a lot of places are VERY expensive. We try not to be. In fact, we try hard to be different from everyone else.

That goes for our 2007 highly useful map and our 2008 911 / EMS / Law Enforcement Map! You get your choice of 5 of any of these maps ($100.00 value) for advertising with us. Where else can you advertise and get something back for it? {If you sell the maps, you break even on your advertising!} Our website has expanded, making new friends, and improved each year. We appreciate our advertisers, sponsors, and friends that have helped us along the way. When we get more advertisers, we will be adding another "RatCam" webcam to the site!
Advertise on our 2009 Useful Boaters Map:
We will being doing a revised update on our boaters map of Lake Maurepas and surrounding waterways for 2009. Our boaters map shows all the distances headings, gps coordinates, boat launches, fuel docks, idle zones, bars and restaurants on the water, parish lines, and more. A LOT of information. Our satellite map shows where everything is and is "pretty." It is looking at our waterways from an entirely different perspective and captures all of our businesses on the water for 2008.
Expensive? Absolutely not. A business card ad cost $250.00. You get enough maps that, if you sold them, you make ALL of your adverting cost back. You also get two laminated copies to hang on your wall. Finally, you get a heck of a discount off purchasing additional maps. So, you get to advertise, have the capability of making all of your money back, and then continue to make money selling our maps. We also list your business on the website as one of the places customers can purchase the maps (putting more people through your door).
Other maps we are considering:
For 2009, we will most definitely be doing our Lake Maurepas map. We are re-thinking Lake Verret. Contact us, for sure, if you'd like to see our style of map for our friends in Pierre Part and on the Belle River. If we have a good summer and get some advertisers for the website, I am strongly considering a 911 version of our map for Lake Pontchartrain (no advertisers on this one). That's a lot. That's why I am starting now. For me, I enjoy creating the kind of maps that we do. However, the part I do not like much and not very good at is selling advertising spots. Much more of my time is spent doing that part, rather than concentrating on the map.
***One last thing: for our 2009 maps, we really hope to get more advertisers that have lots of people coming through their door and will display our maps. We realize not everyone wants to give up wall place for a 2' X 3' map and we accept that. Still, the more people that see our map will only help ALL of our advertisers that are on it. (It will also bring new people to our special places on the water and help them out, too!)***
